The weekend in short was fun and relaxing. Saturday was spent at home, test baking, preparing for the bake competition at House that was to be held the next day. Basically, the competition had a bake theme.. to bake anything that has a green ingredient. I did a green bean tea-ramisu and a creamed spinach quiche. I wanted to do a L'opera with mint and pistachio but I didn't really have much time to prepare for that so I just stuck with the first two.
So sunday, my two girls were there and dear Rach dropped by after church so all four of us had brunch at Barracks after the judging period when the judges were deliberating. In the end, I got in 2nd place. I was really glad and relieved because I felt it wasn't my best. Not that I'm complaining, I'm content. :) It was good fun and I really enjoyed myself. Talking to the other talented bakers and exchanging conversation with the wonderful people that were so passionate about baking. It was great.
